Restaurants

The phone rings mid-service. Nobody leaves the floor.

Between 7 and 9 pm, roughly one call in three goes unanswered in a busy restaurant. Kalyo takes the booking, answers the recurring questions and leaves you the dining room.

What the agent handles on the phone

Automatic bookings

Party size, date, slot, name and phone number. The agent checks real availability before confirming and sends an SMS confirmation.

Menus, allergens, diets

Gluten-free dishes, vegetarian options, what's in today's special: the agent answers from your up-to-date menu, without improvising.

Opening hours and closing days

Lunch and dinner service, weekly closing, holidays, festive hours: no more calls just for that.

Changes and cancellations

A guest moves or cancels: the agent updates the booking and frees the table in your floor plan.

Groups and private events

Above a party size you define, the agent qualifies the request and passes it to the manager instead of confirming on its own.

Overflow and callbacks

When the room is full, the agent offers another slot or a waiting list instead of losing the customer.

Frequently asked questions

Can the agent decline a booking?

Yes. You set the rules: maximum capacity per slot, group threshold, minimum notice. Beyond that, the agent offers an alternative or passes the request to the manager.

What if the caller speaks another language?

The agent detects the language and continues in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish or Romanian.

What if the agent doesn't know the answer?

With the knowledge base (RAG), it draws on your menu, opening hours and documents to give the best possible answer. If it truly doesn't know, it says so plainly and offers a callback; transferring the call to your team is available as an option. It never invents information that isn't in your menu.

Do my guests know they are talking to an AI?

Yes, the AI Act requires it. The agent introduces itself as your venue's AI assistant at the start of the call. Each conversation is then sent to you as a call record, so your team can call the guest back if needed.
